SUMMARY OF POSITION 

This position is responsible for the maintenance and attendance of the tool crib.  This position is in Northstar’s Warehouse Department, and reports to the Production Supervisor.  The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not direct the work of other employees. This is a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintenance and handling of Northstar owned, as well as customer-furnished, tooling, molds, mechanical components, and fixtures
• Log data on the current software system to insure the accurate traceability of all tooling
• Lead teams to address and correct all tooling problems which arise
• Communicate with Customers on all customer owned tooling issues
• Full understanding of quality procedures and work instructions and working within the guidelines of the quality procedures and work instructions.
• Management of 5S in the tooling area
• Required to fully understand Northstar’s quality procedures and work instructions and work within the established guidelines

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not direct the work of any other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED                         

Education Required:  High School diploma or equivalent experience

Experience Required: 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED
