SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for performing precision hand finishing on aerospace hardware. This position is in Northstar’s Operations Department, and reports to the Production Supervisor. The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not direct the work of other employees. This is a full-time position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform precision hand finishing operations on aerospace hardware
• These operations include edge breaking sharp corners with various radii, blending, and chamfering
• Work on various types of material with fordum hand pieces
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not direct the work of any other employees.

- Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Frequent reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending and repetitive motion
- Occasional sitting, writing and typing
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
- Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise
- The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Required: 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED

- Capable of achieving specific time standards for tasks
- Required to work a reasonable amount of overtime
- Must be very detail oriented
- Must be dependable, professional, flexible and a solid work history
- Capable of reading and interrupting blue prints and work instructions
