SUMMARY OF POSITION 

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the delivery of parts and materials in a timely manner.  The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not directly or indirectly supervise any other employees.  This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below.  This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time.

  • Drive and deliver parts and materials to and from destinations, as needed
  • Load and unload parts and materials from truck
  • Validate paperwork between Northstar and suppliers
  • Assist in Shipping and Receiving, as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will not direct the work of any other employees.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing
  • Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending and repetitive motion
  • Occasional sitting, writing and typing
  • Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
  • Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise
  • The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED                                               

Experience Required:  Minimum of 3 years work related experience.   Must have valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED
